Thank you very kindly to Avon Books for my copy of Her secret War
I started this book and wasn’t sure what to expect as I’ve never read anything by Pam Lecky.
But from the first page I was enthralled, a fantastically written and researched. It starts in Dublin, during WW2, and ends in Hampshire, England, in fact not too far from where I live!
The pace is slow but steady, but I loved the way Pam writes about the internal goings-on of the main Character Sarah. The storyline and plot are enough to keep the reader going until the end of the book. I loved the historical settings and the descriptions of being outside during an air raid were quite haunting.
If you like a light read, and historical fiction set during WW2 then this book is for you, and the plot involving espionage and love will keep you going until the last page.
5 Star Read.
